    A ball screw is a mechanical element that converts rotary motion into linear motion. It is mainly composed of a screw, a nut, a steel ball, a preload plate, a reverser and a dust collector. Its working principle is based on the rolling of the ball in the thread raceway, and the transmission of motion is achieved through the cooperation with the threaded rod. When the threaded rod is subjected to a rotational torque, it will move forward or backward a certain distance, realizing the conversion of rotary motion into linear motion. The use of balls can greatly reduce the friction loss during transmission and improve the transmission efficiency.

    Screw and nut: The design of the screw and nut allows axial movement between them through the ball, and the ball rolls along the spiral groove, which is converted into rolling friction between the ball and the screw nut.
    Ball circulation mode: There are two ways of ball circulation: external circulation and internal circulation. The external circulation is that after the ball circulation process is completed, it returns to the screw nut through the spiral groove or insert tube on the outer surface of the nut to re-enter the circulation; the internal circulation realizes ball circulation through the reverser, but the outer contour of this reverser and the groove size accuracy on the nut are required to be high.
    Application: Due to its small friction resistance and high efficiency, ball screws are widely used in various industrial equipment and precision instruments, such as machine tools, automobile steering systems, medical equipment, etc.
