Self-Aligning Ball Bearings
Self-Aligning Ball Bearings are ideal when the alignment of the shaft and housing is problematic and the shaft may bend. The outer ring has a spherical raceway with its center of curvature coinciding with the bearing. This allows the axis of the inner ring, balls, and cage to deflect to some extent around the center of the bearing. The axial load capacity is low since the contact angle is small. Under normal loads, the permissible dynamic misalignment is approximately 0.07 to 0.12 radian (4 to 7 degrees).

Thrust Ball Bearings
NSK Thrust Ball Bearings are composed of a “washer-like” bearing ring with raceway grooves for the balls and are classified into flat seats or aligning seats. Designed to handle thrust loads while operating at high speeds, these ball bearings are able to sustain axial loads but no radial loads.
Available in two designs: single direction and double direction. Single direction design includes two rings, referred to as shaft and housing washers, and a single ball and cage assembly. Double direction design, on the other hand, includes three washers and two ball and cage assemblies. The ball and cage assemblies of the double direction type are separated by the shaft washer.

Tapered Roller Bearings
NSK Tapered Roller Bearings support high radial loads and axial loads in a single direction and are available in two and four-row versions which are capable of taking axial loads in either direction. Thrust Roller Bearings

BEARINGS UNITS
Plummer Blocks
NSK Plummer Blocks are available with a variety of end covers and offer special seal options for special environments. Split Plummer blocks offer easy mounting and dismounting of pre-assembled shafts.
Used with self-aligning ball bearings or high-capacity spherical roller bearings, Plummer blocks are manufactured from high-strength cast iron as standard but are also available in spheroidal graphite, cast iron, or cast steel. Blocks are made to be re-lubricated with either oil or grease.

Mounted Units
NSK Mounted Units are available in several ranges: RHP Self-Lube®, Silver-Lube®, Life-Lube®, and Molded-Oil units.
Mounted units consist of two basic components, the insert, and the housing. Each mounted unit includes a sealed single-row ball bearing with a spherical outside diameter and an extended inner ring mounted in a pillow block or flanged housing. The spherical fit accommodates initial misalignment.
A variety of locking methods are available for close-fit shaft mounting as well as a complete range of sealing options for varying environments. All these features make NSK units a very versatile product.
