What is a forklift mast bearing
WHAT IS A FORKLIFT MAST BEARING?
We often meet some clients who ask about Forklift Mast bearings. Whether you call them forklift mast guide rollers, forklift roller bearings, or mast guide bearings, these bearings are designed for heavy load-carrying capacities and high intermittent shock loads, such as those in forklift applications.
What Are Called Forklift Mast Bearings?
Forklift bearings are a very important hardware component used in forklifts. Forklift bearings play an irreplaceable role in the operation of forklifts.
TFL Company has produced Forklift bearings for many years and sold them worldwide with top quality; feedback from all clients is excellent.
TFL forklift mask roller bearing adopts the current industry’s advanced extreme load design scheme
The rated load is 5% higher than that of ordinary bearings. It uses high-quality bearing steel C&U3 and high-speed forging technology. Therefore, the actual load-bearing capacity of the bearing is usually about 5% greater than its rated load, and the actual life is usually 5 to 8 times its rated life.
The load capacity of the Forklift Bearing is 0.5 tons (1100 lb) ~ over 25 tons (55,110 lb) for the forklift mast.
What Are The Types of Forklift Mast Bearings?
There are four main types of Forklift Mast Bearing:
1. Mast guide roller bearings – these bearings guide the mast stages as the forks are raised beyond the first stage. They also attach the fork carriage to the mast rails.

2. Carriage bearings provide lateral guidance to the fork carriage as it travels up the mast. They are typically smaller than the mast guide bearings.
3. Side thrust roller bearing – these bearings transfer the lateral (sideways) loads to the mast and help to prevent twists. Typically, they are mounted on a shaft (pin).

4. Chain roller bearings – these guide the leaf chain that raises & lowers the mast. The bearings are usually flanged like a pulley to keep the chain captive.

What details do I need to identify mast roller bearings?
Our Technical Sales group is very professional at identifying mast roller bearings.
To help them, you will need to provide the following information:
- Name of the fork truck (e.g. Toyota)
- Models or brands stamped on the bearing or a part number from the parts book. Everything helps.
- The dimensions should be as accurate as possible. That is the ID (shaft size) x OD (outside diameter) x width.
If the bearing you need is no longer in production or you have an OEM requirement, Shandong Tefule Bearing can manufacture mast bearings to suit your needs. Typically, we would need a sample or pattern to quote, and lead times can be as short as 24 hours.
